DURHAM, N.C. – The 2025 MLB Draft takes place July 13-14, and draft-eligible Blue Devils await the lifelong dream of hearing their names called during the event.

The draft will be 20 rounds and held in Atlanta, Georgia, in conjunction with the MLB All-Star Weekend.

Schedule & Broadcast Information
The first round of the MLB Draft will take place on Sunday, July 13, at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on MLB Network, MLB.com, and ESPN for the 14th consecutive year. The second day of selections can be seen on MLB.com.

Day 1 (Rounds 1-3): July 13, 6 p.m. – MLB Network, MLB.com, ESPN
Day 2 (Rounds 4-20): July 14, 11:30 a.m. – MLB.com

Beginning in 2017, the MLB added picks to the draft designed to level the competitive playing field. Round A of the competitive balance picks (selections 33-43) will be on Sunday following the first round, in addition to Round B (selections 66-74) following the second round.Â

Duke in the Draft:
Heading into the 2025 MLB Draft, Duke boasts 101 selections in the history of the event. Last season, the Blue Devils had five selections, all pitchers, and were the most overall selections since 2022, and the three picks in the first 10 rounds are the most since the 2021 draft. The Blue Devils have had a player selected in 10 of the past 11 seasons.
