DURHAM, N.C. - Duke men's soccer junior forward
Ulfur Bjornsson debuted as the No. 1 player in the TopDrawerSoccer Top 100, as the organization revealed its preseason player rankings on Wednesday.
Bjornsson is coming off a 2024 campaign where he registered 18 starts in Duke's 19 matches and led the Blue Devils in total points (29), courtesy of 13 goals and three assists. He was named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, Second Team All-America, First Team All-ACC and First Team All-South Region. A native of Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, Bjornsson enters his junior season with 23 goals, seven assists and 53 total points in his two seasons in Durham.Â

Kamran Acito,
Kenan Hot and
Eryk Dymora in the Top 100. Acito, a senior defender, joins Bjornsson inside the top 15, beginning the season at No. 15 overall. Hot, a senior midfielder, follows at No. 40 and Dymora, the Blue Devils' goalkeeper, rounds out the Blue Devils' representation at No. 58 overall.Â
Bjornsson was also named to the Preseason First Team Best XI and Acito picked up Preseason Second Team Best XI recognition.
No. 15 Duke opens the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 21Â against No. 10 San Diego, in the nightcap of a triple-header at Koskinen Stadium that begins at 3:30 with a neutral-site matchup between the men's teams of UC San Diego and Furman, followed by the fourth-ranked Duke women's soccer team against Northwestern. Any ticket purchased is good for all three games.
Season tickets and single-game tickets are on sale now. A season ticket is only $50 each (plus a $5 processing fee per order) for the season.Â

New this season, for walk-up ticket purchases at either the ticket windows of the Scott Family Athletics Performance Center or Koskinen Stadium ticket booths there will be a $5.00 print fee added to each order.
Moving forward, the ticket office will be cashless when accepting payment for tickets, including on gameday. The ticket office accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.
