DURHAM, N.C. – With the start of the college basketball season just a month away, the 2025-26 Duke men's and women's basketball teams make their debut Friday, Oct. 3, during the annual Countdown to Craziness event at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Countdown to Craziness features a night of entertainment, games, engaging videos and on-court contests all leading up to the introduction of the 2025-26 Blue Devils and the annual Blue-White scrimmage.
The festivities begin at 3 p.m. in Card Gym Lot and Krzyzewskiville, adjacent to Cameron Indoor Stadium, with a Fan Fest that is free and open to the public. The Fan Fest will include several local food trucks, live music, a beer garden, games and more. The men's and women's teams will appear in Fan Fest starting at 5:30 p.m.
Doors to Cameron open at 6 p.m., with the programming inside beginning at 7 p.m., including performances by the Duke spirit squad and the Duke Marching Band Drum Line. Head coach
Kara Lawson's women's team will be introduced at 7:15 with a scrimmage to follow. At 8 p.m., head coach
Jon Scheyer's men's team will be introduced, followed by the Blue-White scrimmage.
Countdown to Craziness will broadcast live on ACCNX with Chris Edwards on the call. Live coverage can also be heard across the Blue Devil Sports Network from LEARFIELD, starting at 8 p.m.
The Duke women open the 2025-26 season Monday, Nov. 3 in Paris, France, where the Blue Devils will square off against Baylor as part of the Oui-Play Paris event.
The Duke men open the regular season versus Texas on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. Prior to the start of the regular season, Duke hosts the Brotherhood Run exhibition game against Johnny Dawkins' UCF squad Tuesday, Oct. 21, followed by a road exhibition contest at Tennessee on Sunday, Oct. 26.
