DURHAM, N.C. — The Duke women's soccer trio of
Daya King,
Kat Rader and
Kayla McKenna all received national team calls this week to represent their home country.
King, a freshman from Moreno Valley, California, has been invited by the United States Under-19 Women's National Team for a training camp April 9-18 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The USA will face Argentina's U-19 Women's National Team April 14 and April 17 at the Argentina Football Federation Training Center.
A 2025 Duke graduate and current member of the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), Rader will travel to Spain with the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team (WNT) for its second training camp of 2026. It will run from April 7-17 and the team will play three matches dubbed WU23 Friendly Finals.
The USA will play a friendly match at Estadio Nueva Condomina in Muricia against the Netherlands U-23 WNT April 10 and then face the Denmark U-23 WNT April 13 at Pinatar Arena - Pitch 1. If the USA wins that match, it will play the winner of a France-Scotland U-23 match. If the USA loses to Denmark, it will play the loser of France-Denmark. That match will also be at Pinatar Arena - Pitch 1, as the final two matches will be played in the smaller town of San Pedro del Pinatar.
McKenna, an All-America selection at Duke in 2018 as Kayla McCoy, has been named to the Jamaica Women's National Team ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Antigua and Barbuda. Jamaica will face Antigua April 10 and Barbuda April 18.
The Reggae Girlz currently lead Group B with a maximum of six points from two games. The winner of each group advances to the Concacaf Women's Championship.
