Quotes
- "Yeah, I mean, it started with some really good doubles at two and three. I thought that we played smart. I thought we played composed doubles, even the one we lost at one, we lost 6-0, but we a couple of the games there, we had opportunities. But I thought that we were very composed, and we didn't let the moment get too big for us. Especially at two when it came down to that match. I thought we just continued to play on, and we didn't think about the situation. We just played tennis. And then, singles, I mean, obviously, we know it's going to be a fight every time we play NC State it is a 4-3 match. Aspen, you have a freshman who's never been in such a situation, who's been in school for three months in your program, and it's a lot of pressure on you. She held her own there. She was composed, she didn't let the moment get too big and just played every game. I'm proud of her for that and that effort. But overall, just a match we needed. We haven't had a big win this year and to get this one here was huge heading into the weekend and the ACC Tournament." – Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
- "I thought she served well in the big moments. She stayed true to what she does well, serve and attacking with her groundstrokes. But again, it was more in her head. Because in that situation, you can let the moment get to you and she really didn't. She stayed strong mentally and just played each point and valued each point. It wasn't like, okay, it's whatever, 5-3 or 5-1. I have to play this point differently. I think she just played true to what she does well and did a good job of that." – Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth on the play of Aspen Schuman
