LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A runner-up finish by the Blue Devil women headlined a strong final day of competition for Duke track and field at the 2026 ACC Outdoor Championships.
The Duke women totaled 96 points across the three-day meet and finished just three points shy of another ACC title. The Blue Devil women notched six podium finishes during the Saturday slate – headlined by a gold medal in the 4x400-meter relay – en route to collecting their fifth top-three placement in the last six seasons.
On the men's side, Duke finished fifth in the team standings with 78 points. The efforts were spearheaded by a gold medal in the men's 400-meter hurdles, along with bronze-medal performances in the 4x400 and 4x100-meter relays.
Overall, the Blue Devils won four ACC event titles, produced 17 medalists and racked up 38 All-ACC honors.
TOP PERFORMANCES:
- The women's 4x400 made it three consecutive ACC Outdoor event titles with another first-place finish, as Duke's unit of sophomore Braelyn Baker, junior Mia Edim, freshman Arabella Wilson and senior Lauren Tolbert powered to a time of 3:29.63. The Blue Devils trailed heading into the anchor leg, but Tolbert clocked a blistering split of 51.30 to propel the team to victory.
- Andres Langston delivered the stoutest individual performance of the day with a person best and first-place finish in the men's 400 hurdles. The sophomore blazed to a school-record of 49.24 to secure the gold medal, unseating the previous mark that stood since 1999.
- Baker and Edim performed well in the women's 400 meters and 100 meters, respectively, with both Blue Devils collecting silver medals in their respective events. Baker sprinted 51.41 in her 400 race, while Edim dashed 11.22 in the 100.
- The duo of Baker and Edim continued to impress with the pair notching podium finishes in the women's 200-meter dash. Edim led the way with a runner-up, personal-best and school-record time of 22.75, with Baker taking third via a mark of 22.91.
- Sophomore Aden Bandukwala and Tolbert earned bronze medals following third-place performances in the men's and women's 800 meters. Bandukwala turned in a time of 1:47.09, while Tolbert stopped the clock at 2:02.78.
- The men's and women's 4x100-meter relays turned in season-best showings in their respective races en route to both squads collecting bronze medals and All-ACC Second Team honors.
- Duke's women's quartet of Edim, sophomore Maya Collins, senior Gianna Locci and Baker led the charge, hitting the tape in 43.07 and slotting themselves atop the Duke charts. On the men's side, the unit of junior Michael Scherk and graduate students Colin O'Malley, Liam O'Hara and Quinton Godfrey clocked 39.41, improving their No. 2 all-time program mark.
- The men's 4x400-meter relay also turned in a strong race. Duke's quartet of Godfrey, Langston, Bandukwala and O'Hara produced a time of 3:07.39 – good for third overall to lock down the bronze medal.
- Collins also competed in the 100 and 200 finals, earning a spot on the all-conference second team in both events. The sophomore took fourth in the 100 with a run of 11.31, then dashed 23.27 in the 200 for a fifth-place finish.
- O'Hara (51.45) and freshman Arabella Wilson (57.88 PR) each produced solid showings in the men's and women's 400 hurdles, with both individuals placing fifth in their respective races to earn All-ACC Second Team recognition.
