DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke women's golf standout Jaravee Boonchant claimed her first victory on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour recently at the 14th E1 Charity Open at Ferrum Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. Boonchant is in her second year on the KLPGA.
Boonchant, a 2021 Duke graduate, carded a 2-under-par, 70, with three birdies and one bogey in the final round. With a final 54-hole total of 10-under-par, 206, Boonchant edged out Lee Yul-lin (208), who finished at 8-under-par, 208, to claim the title.
Boonchant became the first Thai player to win on the KLPGA regular tour. She made her debut on the KLPGA regular tour in 2025.
In the final round, Boonchant was solid. After making pars on holes 1-3, she dropped a stroke with her first bogey on the par-4 fourth hole. With Boonchant turning at even par, Lee Yul-lin, who started the day at 5-under, trimmed two strokes on the front nine to close within one shot, setting up a tight battle down the stretch.
On the par-5 12th hole, Boonchant's tee shot found the rough, but her second shot landed on the fairway. She placed her approach shot eight feet from the cup and rolled in birdies on two consecutive holes to open a two-stroke lead over Lee. Boonchant registered a sand save for par on No. 13 and then parred the final five holes to secure her first KLPGA title.
