Rianne Malixi competing in Japan,
Carla De Troia in France and
Avery McCrery competing in Scottsdale, Arizona.Ā All three placed in the top 16 of the leaderboards.

Duke rising sophomore
Rianne Malixi traveled to Japan to compete in the Ai Miyazato Suntory Ladies Open, which is a professional tournament contested at the Rokko Kokusai Golf Club in Hyogo.Ā
Ā
Malixi, who is from Manila, Philippines, totaled rounds of 68, 69, 72 and 70 for a 9-under-par, 279, to place tied for 13th overall.Ā She carded 18 birdies over the four days.Ā Shiho Kuwaki won the tournament with a 19-under, 269, and Malixi was the second-lowest amateur in the tournament.

Avery McCrery traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona, to compete in the 111th Southwestern Amateur Championship at The Desert Mountain Club Outlaw Course.Ā McCrery, a rising sophomore from Wilmington, Delaware, registered scores of 70, 74, 74 and 71 to finish tied for 15th with a 1-over, 289.Ā

Over the four days, McCrery totaled 12 birdies and logged a top-15 finish.Ā Elise Lee won the event with a 14-under, 274.Ā

Carla De Troia advanced to the round of 16 of match play at the French Women's Championship this past week, which was contested at the Dinard Golf Course in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, France.Ā

A product of Paris, France, De Troia carded back-to-back rounds of 74 in stroke-play qualifying to earn the No. 25 seed heading into match play.Ā She faced Carlotta Locatelli in the round of 32 of match play and totaled a 2&1 victory.Ā With the match tied heading into the back nine, De Troia won holes No. 10 and No. 11 to take a 2UP lead and then won hole No. 14 to go ahead, 3UP, before birdieing hole No. 17 to clinch the win.Ā

In the round of 16 match against ninth-seeded Justine Bayle, De Troia fell behind early by as many as four holes.Ā She collected wins on holes No. 11 and No. 12 to cut the deficit to two, but dropped a 3&2 decision to conclude her run.Ā Margaux Brejo won the championship with a 7&6 win against Melliyal Schmitt.Ā Ā
