DURHAM, N.C. – With the U.S. Women's Open set to begin Thursday at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California, the field will feature eight former Duke women's golfers – Ana Belac, Jaravee Boonchant, Celine Boutier, Lindy Duncan, Gina Kim, Brittany Lang, Leona Maguire and Miranda Wang.
A field of 156 golfers will open play Thursday morning, with a cut to the low 60 scorers and ties following 36 holes.
Former Duke All-American Brittany Lang won the U.S. Women's Open in 2016, while the Blue Devils have featured the low amateur on eight occasions: Sarah LeBrun Ingram (1995), Jenny Chuasiriporn (1997, 1998), Candy Hannemann (2001), Lang (2005), Amanda Blumenherst (2006), Jennie Lee (2007) and Gina Kim (2019).
Fans will be able to tune in to watch Thursday and Friday via the USA Network (2-7 p.m.) and Peacock/NBC Sports Network (7-10 p.m.). Saturday's play will be covered on USA Network (5-7 p.m.) and NBC (7-10 p.m.). The final round will be shown on Peacock/ NBC Sports Network (3-5 p.m.) and NBC (5-8 p.m.). All times are EDT.
Opening the tournament for the Blue Devils will be Lindy Duncan at 10:18 a.m., followed by Maguire (10:40 a.m.), Wang (11:13 a.m.), Belac (11:24 a.m.), Lang (11:24 a.m.), Boutier (4:25 p.m.), Kim (4:58 p.m.) and Boonchant (5:20 p.m.). All times are EDT.
