DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's basketball incoming freshman
Bella Flemings and the U18 Women's National Team makes their debut in the 2026 FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup Tuesday in the opening game of the tournament set to take place June 9-15 in Irapuato, Mexico.
The United States has won 11 consecutive gold medals and looks to add a 12th to the trophy case over the next week. Flemings, already having prior experience with USA Basketball, is part of a dynamic backcourt for the United States that features multiple Gatorade Players of the Year from across the country. Flemings was both the Miss Texas Basketball Player of the Year and Texas Gatorade Player of the Year following a stellar career at William J. Brennan High School.
The United States is in Group B along with Argentina, Mexico and Paraguay. The winner of each group receives a bye into the semifinals. The USA are 12-0 versus Argentina and 6-0 against Mexico. The final game of pool play will be a second meeting with Paraguay.
