Duke Unveils 2026-27 Fencing Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke fencing head coach Omar Elgeziry unveiled the 2026-27 schedule Monday afternoon. The campaign features five regular season events and is headlined by the return of the NCAA Fencing Championships to Durham in March.
Home Cookin'
The Blue Devils will host a pair of events during the year, starting with a dual meet against North Carolina (Nov. 7) to open the season. Duke caps the home portion of its schedule with the third annual Beguinet Classic, which is slated for Feb. 6.
Duke will fence at one other meet in the Tar Heel State, closing out regular season competition Feb. 7 at the Miller Invitational.
Fencing in the City of Brotherly Love
Following the dual meet against the Tar Heels, Duke heads to the City of Brotherly Love to compete in the Elite Invitational Nov. 14-15.
The Blue Devils resume competition following the holiday break with a return trip to Philadelphia – this time taking part in the Dave Micahnik Penn Invitational Jan. 16-17. Duke had a strong showing in Philadelphia last season, highlighted by the men's and women's teams combining to go 15-2 at the Philly Invitational.
Postseason Action
Duke commences postseason action on the West Coast with the ACC Championships Feb. 20-21 in Stanford, California. The Duke men will look to earn their second consecutive and fourth conference title overall, while the women seek their first ACC crown since 2021 following five straight runner-up finishes.
Following a couple weeks off, the Blue Devils pick up their weapons again for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional, which will take place March 13 in Chapel Hill.
The season concludes with the nation's top fencers convening in the Bull City for the NCAA Fencing Championship, hosted by Duke, March 25-28 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devil men placed sixth at the 2025-26 NCAA Fencing Championships with sophomore Abdelrahman Tolba (foil) earning All-America Second Team honors. Senior Charlotte Koenig (foil) garnered All-America Honorable Mention recognition to headline the Duke women's 11th-place showing.
