Zachary Gero joined Duke Athletics in 2024 as an Equipment Operations Manager. In this role, Gero is tasked with the issuance, maintenance and upkeep of equipment and apparel for various sports programs. He works closely with student-athletes, coaches, staff and vendors to provide essential services such as laundry and equipment distribution.
Prior to Duke, Gero served as an Equipment Room Assistant at Towson University. He was responsible for fitting, repairing, maintaining, and decaling lacrosse and football helmets, laundering game uniforms, managing equipment inventory and ensuring efficient operations for football away games.
Gero also gained experience as an Equipment Room and Facilities Intern at The College of New Jersey. There, he maintained uniforms for multiple sports, managed equipment fitting and repair, and oversaw student managers during sporting events. His role also included managing travel equipment for student-athletes.
Gero graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration from Towson University in May 2021.
