Andy Scott begins his fourth year as the Duke diving coach. He comes to Duke from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., where he was the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s programs.
A former diver for Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. from 1996-00, Scott was a four year letterman for the Tigers. As a diver, Andy earned NAIA All-America honors on both one and three meters in 1997. He was the NSISL conference champion on one and three meters in 1999. Scott was also chosen for the honor of Arkansas Male College Diver of the Year in 1999 and 2000.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, the Mineral Springs, Ark. native enjoys hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and driving down country backroads.
Scott received a B.S.E. in biology with a coaching endorsement from Ouachita Baptist University in 2000. Scott earned his M.Ed. in physical education from Springfield College in 2002.
Scott is a science teacher at Rogers-Herr year-round middle school in Durham. He is single and lives in Durham.
