DAVIDSON, N.C. – Duke swimming and diving opened its 2026-27 campaign with an impressive showing against Davidson on Friday night in Cannon Pool, as the women won 246.5-53.5 and the men won 193-106.

In total, the women won all 16 events for a dominant performance. On the men's side, Duke won 12 of the 16 events.

Swimming Notables
- Duke opened the first meet of the year claiming the men and women victories in the 200-medley relay. The Blue Devil team of Ali Pfaff, Reese Reilly, Heather White and Riley Anderson clocked in at 1:42.54, finishing over two seconds ahead of second. On the men's side, Ethan Bathala, Jack Smith, Yavuz Ömer Aga and Milo Shue posted a 1:31.42, with Duke also finishing in second and third.
- Neala Klein had an impressive show, winning the women's 1000-yard freestyle (10:23.84) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.13).
- Freshman Quinn White had a strong collegiate debut, as she finished first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.27) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:02.05). She was also part of Duke's second place 4x100 yard freestyle relay team.
- Ryan Griffith came in first place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.27), while also finishing in a tie for first in the 100-yard freestyle with Owen Waibel at 46.91.
- In addition to being on the winning 200-medley relay team, Ali Pfaff also recorded wins in the 100-yard backstroke (54.36), 200-yard backstroke (1:59.31) and was on the winning 4x100Â yard freestyle relay team.
- Reese Reilly dominated the breaststroke events, as she finished first in the 100 (1:04.01) and 200 (2:18.73) races.
- Riley Anderson won the 50-yard freestyle (23.65) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.08).
- Raphael Wang dominated the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing over two seconds quicker than second place.
- In the 200 yard IM, freshman Charles Zuhoski dominated the field by posting a 1:52.86, well over three seconds quicker than second place.
- Duke capped off the meet with wins for both the men and women in the 4x100 yard freestyle. On the women's side, the quartet of Riley Anderson, Heather White, Clare Logan and Ali Pfaff finished in 3:24.98, nearly eight seconds quicker than second place. Milo Shue, Owen Waibel, Ryan Griffith and Charlie Kulp posted a 3:04.31 to win the men's race.

Diving Notables
- In the 1m diving, Keira Lu posted a score of 319.88 to win the event. Avery Hillier (278.63) and Elizabeth Bircher (238.35) rounded out the top three. On the men's side, Charles Berman finished first with a score of 325.50, while Sean Dowling finished in second with a 317.40
- Duke dominated the 3m dive, as the women took the top four spots led by Lu in first with a 352.35. Like in the 1m dive, Berman (370.20) and Dowling (279.15) finished in the top two 3m spots.
