Durham, N.C. - Blake Camp was named to two All-America teams following the 2005 soccer season. He received second team All-America honors by NSCAA/adidas and College Soccer News.
Camp received All-America honors for the second straight season. He was named to the third team last season after leading Duke to its fifth College Cup in 2004. This year, Camp was named to the All-ACC first team for the third straight year. He helped the Blue Devils win the fourth ACC Championship in school history and second ACC Tournament Championship when he scored two goals in the semifinals of the tournament to knock off No. 1 Maryland, 4-2, and then converted his penalty kick opportunity in the championship game against North Carolina. The game ended in a 0-0 tie following two overtimes, but Duke defeated the Tar Heels, 5-4 in the sixth round of penalty kicks and Camp was named ACC Tournament MVP. It was the third straight year he was named to the All-Tournament team.
A senior midfielder from Danielsville, Ga., Camp tied for the team lead with nine goals and led the squad with 23 points. He recorded five assists to go along with game-winning goals against Temple, N.C. State and Stony Brook. He scored two goals in a game on three occasions against Temple, Stony Brook and Maryland. He was named the National Player of the Week following the ACC Tournament and was named to the National Team of the Week three times this season.
A four-year letterwinner for the Blue Devils, Camp finished his career with 24 goals and 22 assists. He played in 81 games with 70 career starts. He one of 56 college seniors invited to participate in the Major League Soccer player combine in January at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
