The Blue Devils collected three first half goals and led 4-1 until UNC Greensboro registered a goal with three minutes remaining. Duke sophomore Lorraine Quinn got the scoring started for the Blue Devils with a goal in the sixth minute of the contest off an assist from sophomore Christie McDonald.
Senior Rebecca Moros then collected two straight goals in the 19th and 33rd minutes to put the Blue Devils ahead 3-0 heading into halftime. McDonald then notched a goal of her own in the 54th minute to give Duke a 4-0 advantage.
A total of 22 Blue Devils saw action on the evening with nine different players taking at least one shot. Junior Allison Lipsher started in goal for Duke and played 45 minutes, while registering one save on two shots.
The Blue Devils held a 9-2 shot advantage in the first half, but UNC Greensboro outshot Duke 10-5 in the second half to close out the match.
