DURHAM, N.C. - The 18th-ranked Duke women's tennis team fell to No. 42 N.C. State, 5-2, on Saturday in ACC women's tennis action. The Blue Devils fall to 10-8 (5-5 ACC), while the Wolfpack falls to 20-7 (8-3 ACC).
Duke lost the doubles point as N.C. State went into singles competition with a 1-0 advantage. The Blue Devil duo of freshman Amanda Granson and sophomore Jessi Robinson recorded a win at No. 3.
The Wolfpack took four of six singles matches to clinch the win, as 75th-ranked sophomore Melissa Mang posted a win at No. 1 and Robinson recorded a win at No. 6 to score for the Blue Devils.
Duke will return to the courts on Sunday at No. 11 North Carolina. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
