Upcoming Event: Swimming & Diving at UNC Invitational on February 4, 2026 at 5 p.m.

Day Two:
Today was the women's team's first time lifting at Froggy's where the bus dropped us off before taking the men's team to Jacob's, the pool where they swam for the morning session. After we lifted, the girls joined the boys at Jacob's for plyometrics and an ab workout while they finished up their swim with an ab workout as well. Afterwards, we all joined the divers for lunch at Snapper's Waterfront Restaurant.
Once we got back to the Islander (our hotel), we had a few hours to rest and work on our tans before heading out to Founder's Park for evening practice, proving to be our toughest one yet. With both the men's and women's teams in the pool together, the captains are all proud of how well the team responded to this challenging practice. Luckily, many of us were able to rest sore muscles and relax back in the resort's hot tub after dinner. Tomorrow we're looking forward to getting together to celebrate New Year's Eve with a cookout together at the resort.

Happy New Year's Eve! The Florida Keys continue to treat Duke Swimming & Diving well. We woke up this morning to another cloudless blue sky. The divers' morning workout at Founder's Park was another productive one as we started spinning more of our optional dives. We've enjoyed getting to train with our North Carolina neighbor, N.C. State, while on this training trip. This afternoon will put us in a more competitive mood as we partake in an arranged dual meet against our red rivals.
This afternoon, with no scheduled events, we were happy to have time to ourselves. A couple of the Duke divers walked to a nearby deli and had their fill of salads, sandwiches, and the local specialty, key lime pie. After that, we still had plenty time to lay out on the beach and nap in our rooms. We are now taking a break from the sun now until our afternoon workout. We'll all be looking forward to a potluck dinner/New Year's Eve BBQ at the resort tonight allowing us the opportunity to catch up with the swimmers.
