DURHAM, N.C. - Ashley Twichell is in action at the 2008 NC Charlotte UltraSwim this weekend at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, as she obtained an Olympic Trial cut in the 400 free event on Saturday.

Twichell finished eighth in preliminary competition with a mark of 4:19.29, besting the Olympic Trial qualifying standard of 4:19.39. In the finals, Twichell swam 4:20.91 and placed sixth overall.

The 2008 NC Charlotte UltraSwim will conclude on Sunday, with Twichell in action in the 1500 free.
