- Went to 16-4 all-time against teams from the
state of Texas.
- Moved to 0-3 all-time against Texas A&M.
Junior Krystal Thomas
- Blocked a team-high seven shots, while scoring
seven points and pulling down five rebounds.
Junior Jasmine Thomas
- Registered 13 first half points and finished
with a career-high 26 points.
- Attempted a career-high 28 shots and a
career-high 14 three-pointers.
- Hit a career-high four three-pointers.
- Her double-figure scoring game was the 28th
of her career.
- Has 20+ points in a game for the third time in
her career.
Senior Bridgette Mitchell
- Scored nine first half points but was held
scoreless in the second half and fouled out.
Junior Karima Christmas
- Played her third career game in her home state
of Texas as she is from Houston, Texas.
- Was held to four points and four rebounds in
27 minutes.
Freshman Allison Vernerey
- Notched a career-high 11 points and added
seven rebounds.
- Has pulled down 16 rebounds in two career
games.
Senior Joy Cheek
- Hit only 2-of-12 field goals and finished with
eight points.
Other Duke Notes:
- In the
first half, outrebounded Texas A&M 23-18. For the game, outrebounded the Aggies,
46-41.
- Committed
only 15 turnovers for the game.
- Notched a
game-high 11 steals.
- A total
of 24 fouls were called in the first half (12 for each team). Duke had 26 fouls called for the game.
- Held to
33.3 percent shooting for the game and hit 4-of-20 three-pointers.
- Duke will
next return home to host Georgia Southern on Nov. 19, 2009 at 7:00 PM in
the home opener.
