Men's Soccer Earns No. 6 Seed in ACC Tournament

DURHAM, N.C.-The Duke University men's soccer team has earned the No. 6 seed in and will face third-seed Boston College in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinal on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. The tournament will be played at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.

The Blue Devils and Eagles will be meeting for the first time in the ACC Tournament. The two teams previously have squared off just five times in the programs' histories with Duke holding a slight 3-2 advantage. Boston College won this season's contest, 2-0, in Newton, Mass.

Duke closed out its regular season with a 12-5-0 overall record and 4-4 mark against ACC foes to earn the sixth seed. The Blue Devils were just three points out of the No. 3 spot as four points separated the first and six seeds.

The winner of the game advances to take on the winner of the North Carolina vs. NC State contest in the semifinal round. That game is scheduled for Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. The title match is set for Nov. 15 at 1 p.m., with the winner earning the automatic invite to the NCAA Tournament.
