DURHAM, N.C. – For the second time this season Duke's freshman diver,
Nick McCrory, earned ACC Performer of the Week honors. He shared this week's award with a junior sprinter from the University of Virginia. McCrory became the first male to earn repeat Performer of the Week honors this season.
McCrory was bestowed with the distinction following a weekend-long domination at the Ohio State Diving Invitational. He remained unbeaten on the season, notching two first-place finishes: one on the three-meter board and one on the 10-meter platform.
Over the course of the weekend, the Chapel Hill, N.C. native set two Duke school records and two Ohio State pool records. His score of 474.50 on the 10-meter platform was a 181.25 improvement on the previous Duke record.
McCrory and the Blue Devil divers will retake to the boards on December 16 when the Ohio State Buckeyes come to Duke.
