McCrory to Compete at AT&T Nationals

DURHAM, N.C. - Sophomore Nick McCrory will be competing at the AT&T National Diving Championships in College Station, Texas, from Aug. 10-15. The championship will take place at the Student Rec Center Natatorium at Texas A&M and will start each day at 12 p.m.

A product of Chapel Hill, N.C., McCrory won the platform diving national title at the NCAA 2010 Swimming and Diving Championships, in addition to two ACC diving titles. He was also named the ACC Male Diver of the Year and the ACC Male Freshman of the Year.

Earlier this summer, McCrory won the gold medal in the men's synchronized platform competition at the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. McCrory and his partner, David Boudia of Purdue, earned the gold in their first international meet together, the pair of U.S. collegians edged the Chinese team by 0.4 points for the first place finish.
