DURHAM, N.C.—With just two games remaining in the Major League Lacrosse regular season, a number of former Duke Lacrosse players and two assistant coaches look to help their teams reach postseason play.
Justin Turri and Zack Greer have helped guide the Denver Outlaws to a league-leading 12-0 record, ensuring a place in the league's playoffs. Joe Cinosky, Matt Danowski, and Jake Tripucka also look to assist the Charlotte Hounds in securing one of the final four playoff spots.
Nine of Duke's former Blue Devils and two former assistant coaches have seen individual success in 2013, as the season winds down.
Joe Cinosky- Charlotte
-Has scored one goal in ten appearances this season
-Picked up 15 groundballs for the Hounds
CJ Costabile- New York
-Has earned two assists in 11 appearances this season
-Scored four goals as a defender for the Lizards
-Tied for fourth on the team, with 25 groundballs
Matt Danowski- Charlotte
-Leads the team with 38 total points, including eight assists and 26 goals
-Recorded team-leading 71 shots on goal
-Second on the team in two-point goals with four
John Galloway- Rochester
-Appeared in over 640 minutes in goal for the Rattlers this season
-Earned a 5-6 record with a team-best 11.84 goals against average
-Has a .546 save percentage
Zack Greer- Denver
-Recorded 16 goals and 10 assists in nine games for the Outlaws
-Ranks fifth on the team with 28 shots on goal
-Scored four goals in his Denver Outlaws debut
David Lawson- Rochester
-Scored five goals in win over New York Lizards on July 27
-Tied for third on the team with 13 goals scored
-Third on the team in shot percentage with .382 average
-Fifth on the team with 16 total points
Michael Manley- Rochester
-Appeared in 11 games at defense for the Rattlers
-Fourth on the team in groundballs with 25
Tom Montelli- Rochester
-Scored two goals in 11 appearances for Rochester
-Third on the team in groundballs with 31
Jake Tripucka- Charlotte
-Appeared in six games for the Hounds
-Recorded four goals and one assist for five total points this season
