FLUSHING, N.Y. – Freshman Meible Chi's run at the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships came to an end Saturday morning, as the Weston, Fla., native fell to the No. 3 singles player in the country in a semifinal round match.
Chi, who upset second-ranked Luisa Stefani in the round of 16 and defeated 89th-ranked Josie Kuhlman in the quarterfinal round, suffered a 6-1, 6-2 setback to third-ranked Francesca Di Lorenzo of Ohio State. The loss moved Chi's record to 15-4 on the fall.
