DURHAM – Riding a five-match winning streak, the 10th-ranked Duke women's tennis team hits the road for its final two-match road swing of the regular season as the Blue Devils (16-2, 5-1 ACC) take on Syracuse on Friday, March 24 at 3 p.m., followed by a contest at Boston College on Sunday, March 26 at 2 p.m.

Duke and Syracuse will meet for the 13th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 12-0. The Blue Devils feature a 5-0 ledger in matches played in Syracuse. Blue Devil head coach Jamie Ashworth owns a 9-0 record against Syracuse.

Duke's doubles duo of Beck and Cameron Morra already ranks tied for 10th on Duke's most doubles wins in a season with 25. With two more wins, the tandem will move into a tie for eighth.

Duke is currently ranked 10th in the ITA poll, which is sponsored by Tennis-Point. The Blue Devils have been listed in the top 10 of the team rankings in five of the seven polls this spring. With the preseason top-10 ranking, the Blue Devils have been tabbed in the top 10 in seven straight years under the direction of head coach Jamie Ashworth. In his 27th season at the helm, Ashworth has guided Duke to a total of 20 top-10 preseason rankings since 2001.
In the latest ITA singles rankings, Chloe Beck is No. 2, Emma Jackson is No. 31 and Cameron Morra is No. 70. With a 24-4 ledger on the season, Beck/Morra are 32nd nationally in doubles.
Playing at Home
Duke features a 22-match home winning streak, tied for fifth-longest in school history. The Blue Devils are 11-0 at home this season. The longest streaks in school history are – 54 (2017-21), 28 (2008-10), 28 (2011-13), 26 (2002-04), 22 (1990-92, 2022-23) and 21 (2014-15).

Win Streak in ACC Action

Beck went 13-0 last season becoming just the fourth Blue Devil to go undefeated in ACC play with 10 or more wins. She has opened 2023 ACC play with a 6-0 ledger. Overall, Beck has notched a 30-2 ACC singles mark and a 23-4 ACC doubles ledger in her career.
Brianna Shvets boasts an undefeated, 5-0, record in ACC action in 2023.
Duke's new doubles team of Georgia Drummy and Iuliia Bryzgalova has collected a 7-0 record this season, including a 6-0 ledger in ACC play.
Doubles Play
After winning the doubles point in the first eight matches, Duke dropped the doubles point in three of the next five contests. Duke is coming off winning the doubles point in five straight matches. The Blue Devils have dropped the doubles point in both losses this season (Oklahoma and Virginia).
