Quotes
- "I was proud [of the team].We were mentally so strong after doubles and we didn't let anything faze us.Obviously, it would be nice to get a doubles point to relieve some of that, but I told them afterwards I was proud of how they handled it.I told them, no matter what kind of match you play, there's always going to be adversity in the match -- whether it's a singles match, a doubles match, you're behind, there's things that are going to happen in the match. I thought whenever we faced those adverse conditions that we handled ourselves really well. And it was good to see," -- Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
- "Katie [Codd], obviously clinching the match for us.It was the first time she's ever been in that position. She also won it on her first match point, which shows a lot of maturity and a lot of just where she is with her game and where she is with our belief.Earlier in the year she's had some instances where she's been up with some match points and struggled a little bit, but for her to be in that position and to win a match for our team like that, it was great. I couldn't be happier for her and she just keeps getting better and better in those moments. And then, Iuliia [Bryzgalova] winning her 100th match – that's quite an accomplishment and something to be proud of. Not a lot of college players win 100 singles matches. So that was a great, great effort for her.Bri [Brianna Shvets] being able to come back from being down 4-0 in the tiebreaker and fighting her way back.Overall, just a great effort fighting through like I said, through some adversity." -- Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
- "I am so proud of how we were all able to compete today, especially after losing the doubles point. I feel like we all played unbelievably and I'm really happy with the result. As for my match, it was unreal to be able to clinch today. It was such a fun atmosphere and I am really happy with how I was able to play and compete." - Duke sophomore Katie Codd
