QUICK HITS
- The Blue Devils have continued to pounce on opponents like they did throughout the season in 2023. Duke has recorded 199 of its 315 runs so far this season from the fourth to eighth innings. That number accounts for 63.1% of the Blue Devils' run production.
- Following a sweep of the double header on Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa., head coach Chris Pollard recorded his 750th career victory across three stops. That mark comes just a season removed from collecting his 700th career victory against North Carolina in the middle game of a three-game set.
- Senior catcher Alex Stone has started to catch fire in the second half of the season, like he usually does this time of year. Stone completed the five-game stretch with a .474/.842/.545 slash line with nine hits, four doubles, one home run, seven RBI, one walk and two hit by pitches.
- Zac Morris leads the team with 21 two-out RBI this season, as the Blue Devils have tallied 81 as a collective unit. The 81 runs account for 25.8% of Duke's scoring this season.
- Duke's margin of victory again this season is through the roof, winning games by a combined total of 179 runs. In turn the Blue Devils have lost their 10 contests by a combined 20 runs. Duke has lost four one-run contests and hasn't lost a game by more than four runs this season.
