Riding a four-match winning streak, the seventh-ranked Duke women's soccer team (10-3-1) will make the short trip to Raleigh, N.C., Sunday, Oct. 26 as the Blue Devils face NC State (5-7-4) at 7 p.m.
Sunday's match will be aired live on ACC Network with Matt Krause (PXP) and Morgan Bowen (Color) calling the action.
Duke ranks first nationally in assists with a 3.71 per game average and sixth in corner kicks per match (7.57).
In September, Duke played five games over a seven-day stretch. The Blue Devils are coming off a month of playing one match a week. Duke features its first two-match week since the middle of September. The Blue Devils are coming off playing four matches over the last 26 days.Â
Duke remained in the top 10 of the United Soccer Coaches poll this week and have been in the top 10 in nine of the 11 polls in 2025.
Duke's duo of Kat Raderand Mia Minestrella were named to the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch. They were two of 35 players selected for the prestigious award.
First year head coach Kieran Hall has kicked off his career with the Blue Devils with a 9-3-1 ledger.
 STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
With her next assist, Mia Oliarowould register back-to-back seasons with 10 or more assists. Mia Minestrella would net consecutive seasons with 10 or more goals with her next tally.
The Blue Devils have scored two or more goals in six matches in a row and averaged 2.8 goals a contest during that stretch.
Kat Rader has scored or assisted in 11 of the 13 matches played this year.Â

Mia Minestrellaregistered her ninth career goal against an ACC opponent versus Virginia Tech. She owns five goals in eight ACC matches in 2025.Â
Kat Rader ranks second in the ACC in points per game (1.92), sixth in assists per game (.54) and eighth in assists (7). She is eighth nationally in points per game (1.92) and 17th in assists per game (.54). Mia Oliaro is fifth nationally and second in the ACC in assists per game (.64), while sixth nationally and second in the ACC in assists (9).
 THE SERIES WITH NC STATE
Duke and NC State will meet for the 41st time in program history when the Blue Devils travel to Raleigh on Sunday.
The Blue Devils are 24-12-4 all-time against NC State, including a 13-4-1 record in matches played in Raleigh. Duke has not lost to the Wolfpack on the road since 1999.
The Blue Devils hold a 66-32 goal advantage over the Wolfpack all-time and a 30-10 advantage in road games. The last time Duke played in Raleigh was September 25, 2022, when the Blue Devils won 6-0. Kat Rader recorded a goal and assist in the match as a freshman.
Duke tied NC State 0-0 in Durham in the last meeting between the teams on September 24, 2023.
 SCOUTING NC STATE
The Wolfpack enter the match with a 5-7-4 record after their 0-3 loss at home against No. 20 Louisville on Thursday. The team is 4-2-2 in ACC play.
NC State is 2-4-1 in home games this season. The Wolfpack hold a 10-14 goal disadvantage in matches played in Raleigh.
Junior forward Jade Bordeleau leads NC State in scoring with nine goals on the season (tied for 7th in ACC). The Wolfpack are anchored in goal by senior Olivia Pratapas, who owns a 1.43 GAA across 14 starts.
After starting the season 0-5-2, the Wolfpack are 5-2-2 over their last nine matches. NC State has outscored opponents 15-11 during this stretch.
NC State is in its first season under head coach Gary Higgins, former head coach at East Carolina. The Wolfpack are coming off a 4-10-4 season in 2024 that saw them go 1-6-3 in ACC play.

With two matches remaining, if the Blue Devils were to win both contests Duke would finish with 21 points and in third place in the ACC regular season standings.Â
The top six teams at the end of the regular season advance to the ACC Championship. The top two teams receive a bye and then the No. 3 and No. 4 squads will host a quarterfinal match on Nov. 2.
 LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Devils totaled a 2-0 victory at home against Syracuse as Kat Rader and Mia Oliaro totaled goals.
Duke registered its seventh shutout on the season as Caroline Dysart finished with one save over 90 minutes.
Minestrella is one goal shy of notching her 10th goal in 2025 and would collect back-to-back seasons with 10 or more goals. She would become only the fourth Blue Devil to accomplish this -- Kelly Walbert (1994 & 1995), Kayla McCoy (2017 & 2018) and Michelle Cooper (2021 & 2022).
Oliaro is one assist shy of reaching 10 assists and would become just the second Blue Devil to post 10 or more assists in consecutive seasons joining Ella Stevens (2017 & 2018).Â
 TOP FRESHMEN SCORERS
Duke rookie Avery Odernow owns six goals on the season, which is tied for the most by a freshman in the ACC along with Katie Ellemeyer of Pitt and Juju Harris of Clemson.
The most goals nationally by a freshman is eight by Kylie Fuller (Merrimack), Sophia Henry (Army), Ava McDonald (Texas) and Klarissa Vega (South Dakota) with eight.
Duke's record for most goals by a freshman is 12 by Kat Rader and Michelle Cooper.Â
 RADER HAVING IMPRESSIVE SEASON
Redshirt junior Kat Raderis quietly having a very impressive season with nine goals, seven assists and 25 points.Â
She has totaled at least a goal or assist in 11 of the 13 matches with the lone exceptions being at Miami and at Virginia Tech.Â
Rader owns two multi-goal performances and notched goals in three straight contests against Notre Dame, Wake Forest and Pitt.Â
 SAUNICHEVA PLAYING BIG MINUTES
Duke senior Julia Saunichevahas been coming up huge for the Blue Devils off the bench recently. She earned her second start of the year against Syracuse.Â
Over the last five contests, she has totaled at least a goal or assist in four of those.Â
Saunicheva tallied a goal against Wake Forest, assists versus Pitt and North Carolina and a goal versus the Hokies.Â
She owns two goals and four assists for eight points.
