DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke men's soccer team opens NCAA Tournament play on Thursday, Nov. 20, hosting FDU in a first-round matchup. The Blue Devils (8-3-6) and Knights (13-4-3) meet for just the second time in the all-time series, with Duke winning, 2-0, in the lone previous meeting during the 2004 regular season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., at Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium, with live streaming available on ESPN+. Tickets are available for purchase

Duke received an at-large bid into the 2025 NCAA Tournament field, while FDU clinched their spot with an automatic bid after winning the NEC Championship. The winner of Thursday's contest will advance to play at No. 3-seed Princeton on Sunday, Nov. 23.
All first-round matches are played on Nov. 20, followed by all second-round matches on Sunday Nov. 23. The third round and quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 29/30 and Dec. 5/6 respectively. The 2025 NCAA College Cup is scheduled for Dec. 12-15 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
DUKE IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
- Thursday marks Duke's 11th total, and fifth consecutive, NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach John Kerr.
- The Blue Devils are 34-29-2 (.539) all-time when playing in the NCAA Tournament, headlined by the program's national title in 1986.
- When playing in the first round, Duke holds a record of 13-11.
ALL-ACC ACROSS THE BOARD
- Duke earned five All-ACC selections, the conference announced last Wednesday.
- Kenan Hot led the charge by being named First Team All-ACC. Kamran Acito and Ulfur Bjornsson were both Second Team All-ACC honorees, while Drew Kerr picked up a Third Team All-ACC selection.
- Freshman Max Simpson rounded out Duke's representation with a spot on the 2025 All-Freshman Team.
TWO TOP OFFENSES
- Thursday's match pits two of the top offenses in the country, with Duke averaging 2.06 goals per game and FDU averaging 1.90 goals per game.
- The Blue Devils rank 19th nationally, and fourth in the ACC, for scoring offense. The Knights come into the match tied for 36th in the country and lead their conference in scoring offense.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Devils moved to 8-3-6 on the year after a loss to California in the first round of the 2025 ACC Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium.
- The Golden Bears registered goals in the 35th and 81st minute to defeat the Blue Devils, 2-0.
