DURHAM, N.C. – Four members of the Duke women's tennis team will open play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Sectionals Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill.
Seeing action in singles will be sophomore
Liv Hovde, junior
Shavit Kimchi and junior
Eleana Yu. Duke will feature a pair of doubles teams as well with Hovde/Kimchi and Yu/freshman
Claire An.
Hovde will face Johanna Strom of Marshall at 10 a.m., followed by Kimchi against Maiko Uchijima of Penn State at 11:15 a.m. Yu takes on second-seeded and 24th-ranked Kaitlyn Carnicella of South Carolina at 12:15 p.m.
In doubles action, Hovde and Kimchi will go up against Olivia Dorner/Uchijima of Penn State at 1:45 p.m., while An/Yu take on Anastasia Sysoeva and Nelly Knezkova of Syracuse.
