Bring Your Four-Legged Dog Friend
- Wednesday's game is Bark at the Park at Koskinen Stadium. Fans who bring their dog to the game get a discounted ticket with the code MLXWOOF when buying tickets online. The entrance for fans and dogs is at the Whitford Lot gate with furry friends and family sitting on the stands opposite the team benches. Owners must also sign a waiver upon entering the stadium with their dogs.
The Opening Faceoff
- Duke moved to 6-1 following a solid 16-11 win over Air Force. Eric Malever spearheaded a strong second half with three goals and four assists in the 30 minutes and finished with five goals and nine points overall. Duke's ride held Air Force to just over 50 percent clearing on the afternoon and the Blue Devils forced 24 turnovers - a season-high for a Duke opponent. Cal Girard was outstanding at the dot, winning 14-of-21 and picking up nine ground balls.
- Providence comes to Durham after a hard-fought win over Loyola, 12-11. The Friars are 4-3 overall with victories against Holy Cross, Bryant, Merrimack and Loyola. Ryan Bell is the quarterback to the offense with a team-best 26 assists and 34 points while Richie Joseph and Jack Horrigan are the goal scorers at 19 and 17, respectively. Quinn McConnaughey is excellent at the dot, winning 60 percent of his restarts. Dan Donahue has 10 starts in the goal and owns a 10. 14 goals against average and a .551 save percentage.
- Duke has won all three meetings with Providence by an average of 14 goals per game. The Blue Devils put on an offensive clinic last year, racing past the Friars 21-6. This is the fourth meeting between the two programs.

Series History
- Duke and Providence play for the fourth time and for the second consecutive season. The Blue Devils have won all three games in convincing fashion with an average margin of victory of 14. Duke put on an offensive clinic last season in a 21-6 victory.
- Head coach Bobby Benson faced Duke just once as a player at Johns Hopkins in 2003. The Blue Jays ran past the Blue Devils 19-6 in that game with Benson providing three goals and an assist.

Home Sweet Home
- Under head coach John Danowski, Duke is 154-28 in games in Durham. Duke has gone unbeaten at home four times since 2007. Princeton snapped Duke's five-game home win streak on Feb. 28.
Third Quarter Dominance
- Duke has found great success in the third quarter, outscoring opponents 29-11 in the period. The Blue Devils have given up more than two goals coming out of the half just once - three to Princeton. Duke has outscored six of its seven opponents this season, tying Saint Joseph's, 2-2.
- It's not only that Duke's opponents aren't scoring in the third quarter, the Blue Devils aren't allowing them the opportunity. Opponents are averaging just six shots in the third stanza as Duke outshoots its foes 75-43 during the 15 minutes.
Duke's Depth at the Dot
- Duke has a wealth of depth at the faceoff dot with three options in junior Luke Engelke, sophomore Cal Girard and freshman Ben McCarthy. All three have taken at least 40 faceoffs this season with each of them having impressive individual outings. Engelke has the slight edge in percentage (38-68, .559) while McCarthy has taken the most draws (40-75, .533). Girard recently won 67 percent of his faceoffs and is 23-43 for .535.
- This season marks the first time Duke has had a new stick at the faceoff dot for the first time since 2020. Jake Naso graduated after taking 1,688 career faceoffs. Girard and Engelke returned after having taken a combined 164 in their careers. They've taken a combined 111 this season. Freshman Ben McCarthy, a high school All-American, joins the fray.
