CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Duke baseball (24-14, 9-9 ACC) dropped the series finale to the Miami Hurricanes (20-17, 6-9 ACC) on Sunday afternoon at Alex Rodriguez Park, 8-6.
Duke opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, as
Tyler Albright hit a two-run home run to right center field, 2-0. Miami began to cut into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, 2-1. In the top of the fifth inning,
Jake Hyde laced a triple to right center field, scoring a pair, 4-1.
The Hurricanes would respond with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, 6-4, before
Jake Berger leveled the ballgame, crushing a two-run home run off the parking deck, 6-6. The Hurricanes would eventually hit two solo home runs down the stretch to secure the victory.
Freshman
Henry Zatkowski worked four innings on the mound for the Blue Devils, allowing six run on six hits and striking out three.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Hurricanes added a run in the bottom of the eighth inning, 8-6.
