QUICK HITS
- Duke continues a trend of scoring throughout the middle innings of games once again this season, scoring 123 of their 298 (41.3%) runs this season from the fourth to sixth innings.
- The 2025 Duke squad is steadier at the plate, drawing 261 walks so far this season. That mark is second in the country trailing VMI (277) and leads the ACC ahead of Clemson (250). The program record for walks in a single season was set in 1998 with 304 drawn.
- Two-out lightning has returned for the Blue Devils in 2025, as Duke has produced 107 two-out RBI. The 107 runs account for 35.9% of Duke's run production. Jake Hyde leads the team with 19 two-out RBI, while Ben Miller (13), AJ Gracia (13), Tyler Albright (12), and Jake Berger (11) have all produced double-digit tallies.
- One of the unluckiest hitters to begin the 2025 season is finally starting to turn the corner for the Blue Devils, as AJ Gracia continues to come alive in the second half. In his last 10 games, Gracia has produced a .333 average (12-for-36), scoring eight runs, collecting four doubles, rushing one home run, and driving in six RBI. He has added 14 walks to three strikeouts and stolen a base. His OPS has reached 1.048 throughout that span and his defensive excellence in center field has also continued to tick up a notch.
- After an incredibly grueling five-week stretch which featured a cross-country trip to Stanford, a weekend road sweep at No. 23 Virginia, a home series against a scrappy NC State squad, a marathon weekend at No. 19 North Carolina, and an exhausting weekend in Coral Gables, Duke sets its sights on an 11-game homestand at Jack Coombs Field beginning Tuesday against Appalachian State.
