QUICK HITS
- Duke continues a trend of scoring throughout the middle innings of games this season, scoring 123 of their 306 (40.1%) runs from the fourth to the sixth inning.
- The Blue Devils continue to have a keen eye at the plate, drawing 266 walks this season. That mark is second in the country trailing VMI (286). The 266 walks are the most in the ACC ahead of Clemson (250) and are on pace to break the single-season record set in 1998 with 304.
- Since the second half of the season began 11 games ago, sophomore outfielder AJ Gracia has come alive both on the field and at the plate. Gracia has posted a .366 average (15-for-41), scoring nine runs, collecting five doubles, crushing one home run, and driving in eight RBI. He has added 14 walks to three strikeouts and stolen two bases. His OPS has reached 1.088 throughout that span and his defensive excellence in center field has also ticked up a notch.
- Since 2023, Duke has collected a record of 48-1 when scoring 10-plus runs in a contest. In 2023, the Blue Devils posted an impressive 18-0 record on the diamond, while in 2024 they tallied a mark of 18-1. In 2025, the Blue Devils have tallied a 12-0 record when scoring 10-plus runs in a contest.
- Graduate Gavin Brown recorded his first victory on the mound in a Blue Devils uniform on Tuesday against Appalachian State, working a perfect inning in relief. Brown used eight pitches to get out of the frame, striking out one batter.
