DURHAM, N.C. – Duke's Second Varsity Four earned ACC Crew of the Week honors following a strong weekend of racing at the Big Ten Invitational in Sarasota, Fla., the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Jane Atkeson kicked off the first day of competition with a very tight race against No. 12 Michigan and No. 18 Harvard. It came down to a photo finish with all three boats finishing within one second of each other. The 2V4 clocked a second-place time of 7:15.127, finishing right behind the host Wolverines.
In their second race of the day, the 2V4 battled a pair of top-10 teams in No. 3 Washington and No. 8 Brown. After another photo finish, the Blue Devils narrowly edged the crew from Brown to take home second, registering a time of 7:19.433.
The Second Varsity Four wrapped up action on Saturday with their third podium finish of the weekend, powering past boats from Alabama, No. 21 Indiana, No. 24 USC and No. 17 Oregon State. The Blue Devils trailed only No.9 Rutgers and recorded a time of 7:40.972.
The Blue Devils return to Lake Wheeler to co-host the annual Lake Wheeler Invitational with North Carolina on April 25-26. Duke's Third Varsity Eight is set to open the racing Friday morning at 9:30 a.m.
