On Sunday against Virginia Tech, the 2025 Blue Devils tied the single-season program record for walks at 304. That mark is second in the country behind VMI and the most in the ACC. The program record was set by the 1998 team.Â
Graduate Reid Easterly has been a workhorse for the Blue Devils this season, replacing Charlie Beilenson in the backend. In Duke's last 10 games, Easterly has worked 14 innings on the mound, posting a 4-0 record in six appearances. He has posted a 1.29 ERA and has struck out 14 batters. Opponents continue to struggle to hit off the southpaw, as Easterly boasts an average against of .128.Â
Sunday marked win No. 30 for the Blue Devils in 2025, as head coach Chris Pollard has now reached that mark 18 times in his coaching career. Additionally, the 13th-year skipper has now posted 30-plus wins in 10 of the 12 full seasons at the helm of the Blue Devils, including two years of 40-plus wins, the only coach in program history to do so.
