DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's lacrosse head coach
Kerstin Kimel announced the addition of graduate transfer

A native of Palos Verdes, Calif., Olsen comes to Duke after spending the past four seasons at Syracuse. While with the Orange, Olsen appeared in 37 games with seven starts as a midfielder. She collected 10 ground balls, forced six turnovers and recorded one draw control. She posted a career-high three ground balls and two caused turnovers against Clemson in 2023.
She helped guide Syracuse to back-to-back NCAA Championship semifinal appearances in 2023 and 2024 and helped the team claim the 2024 ACC regular season title.
Academically, Olsen was named to the 2024 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, the ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and 2024 and was selected to the All-ACC Academic Team in 2023 and 2024.
The Blue Devils are coming off a historic season, making their 17th NCAA Championship quarterfinal appearance and first since 2021. Duke finished the 2025 campaign with a 14-6 overall record and a 6-3 mark in ACC play – the program's highest win totals in both categories since 2022. The Blue Devils ended the season ranked No. 9 in the final IWLCA poll, their best final ranking since finishing No. 8 in 2021.
