Maggie Kondrath was named to the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team to as announced by USA Field Hockey.
Following two tryouts in December, U.S. Women's National Team Indoor Head Coach Jeep Van Der Coelen selected the 21 players for the team and group for a Development Team Camp in February.
Kondrath has played in 31career games with 13 starts in her two seasons in a Blue Devil uniform. After missing her rookie season to injury, the Downingtown, Pa., native played in 11 games as a sophomore and then had a breakout season this past year with four goals and three assists for 11 points.
"More than 100 athletes participated in the tryouts held in Mt. Olive, N.J. and Fitchburg, Mass.," commented Van Der Coelen. "The strong turnout highlights the growing interest and depth of talent within the women's indoor game. From the beginning session until the end, there was an impressive level of play, enthusiasm, and commitment."
The U.S. will head to play in the Big Apple International Indoor Championship Feb. 27-March 1 in Spring City, Pa., before competing at the CanAm Series March 14-15 in Mt. Olive, N.J.
