DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team heads to South Bend, Indiana, this weekend to compete at the 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships Mar. 19-22 at the Joyce Center.

WHAT TO KNOW:
- Duke will be represented by sophomore Lev Ermakov (sabre), junior Charlotte Koenig (foil), sophomore Owen Li (foil), graduate student Yeva Mazur (epee), junior Natalie Olsen (sabre), junior Sophia Shen (foil), freshman Zachary Shoman (sabre) and freshman Abdelrahman Tolba (foil).
- The women's competition is set for Mar. 19-20, while the men compete Mar. 21-22.
- Round-robin bouts for the Blue Devil women begins Thursday at 9 a.m., for epee and sabre, with foil taking the strip at 11 a.m. Action concludes Friday with the semifinal and championship bouts starting at 1:30 p.m.
- Duke's epee and sabre fencers will compete Saturday starting at 9 a.m., while foil gets going at 11 a.m. The semifinal and championship bouts commence Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
- The championship will include individual events in each of the six weapons (men's epee, men's foil, men's saber, women's epee, women's foil and women's saber). Fencers will compete in a round-robin format of five-touch bouts. After the round-robin, the top four finishers in each weapon will fence in semifinal 15-touch bouts, with the winners fencing to determine first and second places, and the non-advancing fencers being awarded a tie for third place.
- An institution's place in the championships will be based on points earned by each individual. A team will be awarded one point for each victory by its student-athletes for the duration of the championship.
