BLACKSBURG, Va. -Â Duke continues a stretch of seven road contests across an eight-game span, traveling to Virginia Tech for the first road ACC series of the Blue Devils' season. The two teams square off March 20-22 at English Field at Atlantic Bank Park.
Duke took last year's matchup, winning the rubber match after both teams took a game each in the first two contests of the weekend series. The Blue Devils are coming off a strong weekend against Miami at home, taking Friday and Sunday's contests for the ACC series win. Virginia Tech salvaged a win in the Sunday game of its series at rival Virginia in the Hokies' most recent conference series. Both teams played a midweek contest, with Duke falling, 13-3, at Campbell on March 17 and the Hokies defeating VCU, 11-8, on March 18.
First pitch on Friday, March 20 is scheduled for 6 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. first pitch on Saturday. Sunday's finale is slated for a 1 p.m. start. All three games will be streamed on ACC Network Extra, with Braden Schenck and Andrew Wells on the call.Â

The Blue Devils secured an extra-innings victory on April 25, 6-3 in 11 innings, while Virginia Tech's lone win of the weekend also came in 11 innings, 9-8, on April 26. Duke run-ruled the Hokies in the series finale, taking a 14-0 victory in seven frames.
- The Blue Devils are coming off a strong weekend against Miami at home, taking Friday and Sunday's contests for the ACC series win. Virginia Tech salvaged a win in the Sunday game of its series at rival Virginia in the Hokies' most recent conference series. - Duke run-ruled Miami last Sunday, 20-10, with at least two runs in four of its six trips to the plate. Six different players with at least two RBI, led by Matthew Strand's six-RBI day with a grand slam in the first inning and a two-run homer in the third inning. Kaden Smith and Brooks Perez joined Strand in leaving the yard, with Smith tallying his the third homer of his season and Perez ending the game in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run shot.
- Smith made his Duke debut against Princeton after missing the first 12 games of the season due to injury. Smith led all of Division I in RBI last season at Charleston Southern, with 79 across 50 games played. The graduate student's has helped offset the loss of Cider Canon's production at the plate, with 10 RBI in his first 10 games.
- Duke outfielder Tyler Albright has already worked 33 walks this season, leading the country. The senior is nearly 75% of the way to his previous season-high of 45, set last year in 62 games. Albright is averaging 1.50 walks per game, tied for the national lead. The senior outfielder moved to leadoff to open the Miami series, with Albright's patience at the plate and base-running ability cited by Duke head coach Corey Muscara for the shift in lineup.
- Shortstop Jake Lambdin moved into the three-hole with the lineup change and continues to grow more comfortable at the plate. The Xavier transfer is slashing .266/.398/.544, hit his fourth homer of the season at High Point last Tuesday, leads the team in doubles (10) and is a perfect 14-for-14 on stolen bases.
- Infielder Collin Anderson has posted a 1.102 OPS in the month of March, as the freshman continues to earn more starts as the season progresses. Working mainly at second base, Anderson has homered twice last week and has logged back-to-back multi-RBI performances entering the series at Virginia Tech.
- The Blue Devils announced the hire of Mike Salvino as the program's general manager on Feb. 23. Salvino steps into the role with a goal of building championship teams while also mentoring student-athletes on how to grow their personal brands and prepare for professional careers beyond the game.Â
