DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team continues postseason competition this weekend as the Blue Devils gear up for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Saturday, Mar. 7 in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

WHAT TO KNOW:
- The Mid-Atlantic/South Regional will take place inside Alumni Field House on the campus of Haverford College. Along with Duke, the regional field features Drew, Farleigh Dickinson, host Haverford, Johns Hopkins, Lafayette, NJIT, North Carolina, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Stevens, Temple and Wagner.
- Competition opens at 9 a.m., with pool play in men's and women's epee and foil. Women's sabre gets going at 10:30 a.m., while men's sabre starts at noon.
- A fencer's performance at regionals will have a direct impact on his or her chance at qualifying for the NCAA Division I National Championship. No qualifiers are official until Tuesday, March 10, when NCAA Championship selections are posted.

LAST TIME OUT:
- The Duke men's fencing team reclaimed its spot atop the ACC, capturing the 2026 ACC Fencing Championship. With the victory, the Blue Devil men picked up their third conference title, having also won in 2018 and 2021.
- The Blue Devils turned in a strong day of competition and finished tied atop the team standings with a 3-1 record, forcing a winner-take-all fence-off against Boston College. The Blue Devils prevailed in the extra session, with sophomore Ethan Boroditsky (epee) and freshman Abdelrahman Tolba (foil) garnering victories in their respective bouts to bring the title back to Durham.
- Individually, Duke was led by sophomore sabre Lev Ermakov's nine wins, with Tolba (eight wins) and Boroditsky (seven wins) rounding out the top-three performers.
- The second-seeded and eighth-ranked Duke women headlined day one action with a runner-up finish. The Blue Devils faced top-seeded Notre Dame in the title round of team competition, as the familiar foes entered the match with 3-0 records. The No. 2 Fighting Irish came away with the victory, securing the team title in an 18-9 triumph over the Blue Devils.
