DURHAM, N.C. – It's playoff season for former Duke men's lacrosse stars
Jake Naso and
Mike Manley. The duo begins their push for a National Lacrosse League title Saturday night in quarterfinal action in the 2026 NLL Playoffs.
While Naso and Manley are battling it out in the arenas, 11 former Blue Devils are in their PLL training camps in preparation for the upcoming season.
Manley and Naso Return to the NLL Playoffs
Manley takes the field with the No. 4 seed Georgia Swarm Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. (ET). Naso follows with the No. 3 seed Saskatchewan Rush at 9 p.m. Both games will air on ESPN+ with the Rush also being televised by TSN.
In his 10th NLL season, Manley helped the Swarm to a 12-6 overall record, tying for the second best record in the league. The veteran defenseman passed the 500 loose balls benchmark earlier this season and is having one of his best seasons as a professional with 62 loose balls and 14 caused turnovers. He recently garnered his 100th takeaway. In his 10 seasons, he has played 135 games, collected 518 loose balls and 100 caused turnovers. He also has 10 goals and 28 assists for 38 points.
The top faceoff man for the Saskatchewan Rush, Naso ranks fourth in the league at 66 percent (275-of-419). He has picked up 119 loose balls to rank fifth in the NLL among faceoff specialists. This is Naso's second consecutive playoff appearance after the Rush came up short in the finals series against the Buffalo Bandits last season.
In his second season, Naso played two more games than a year ago and upped his faceoff win percentage from 61 to 66 percent. He also has four goals and an assist for five points this season. He also has upped his loose balls average by nearly two per game from his rookie campaign.
