DURHAM, N.C. – Following a 2-0 start to the 2026 season, Duke volleyball will make its way south to Jacksonville, Florida, where it will take on Tulane, North Florida and FIU Thursday-Saturday at UNF Arena.

A Stellar Start to 2026
The Blue Devils ushered in the
Ahen Kim era with a pair of wins to open the season, defeating Coastal Carolina 3-1 and sweeping Queens (N.C.).
In Duke's win over Coastal Carolina,
Ashby Zubchevich and
Taylor Williams fueled the offense with 23 combined kills.
Breonna Goss had a huge defensive game for the Blue Devils, recording a career-high seven blocks. She also added six kills on a .500 hitting clip. A key to the Blue Devils' victory was their 11 service aces, six more than the Chanticleers. Williams had a career-high five to lead all players.
Duke followed its season-opening win with a dominant 3-0 victory over Queens. The Blue Devils only trailed for a few points in the third set. Zubchevich once again led the way with 13 kills on a .429 hitting percentage. Williams also had 12 kills and has recorded double-digit kills in each of the last five games dating back to last season.
The Blue Devils finished the game with a .448 hitting percentage, their best since they hit .462 against Syracuse on Oct. 15, 2023.
Duke finished the weekend with a .278 hitting percentage, which ranks fifth in the ACC. The Blue Devils lead the conference in aces per set at 2.71.
Scouting the Opponents
Tulane
• Tulane, led by new coach Dex Schroeder, enters Friday's match with a 1-1 record after splitting its opening weekend of play.
• The Green Wave dropped its season opener at home in five sets to North Dakota State but followed it with a sweep of Tennessee Tech.
• Tulane was picked 12th in the American Preseason Coaches Poll.
• This will be the first meeting between Duke and Tulane.
North Florida
• North Florida opened its season in Athens, Georgia, where it fell to Georgia in three sets before beating Furman and George Washington to go 2-1 on the weekend.
• Kaili Doctor was named ASUN Player of the Week on Monday after recording 52 kills on a .252 hitting percentage during the opening weekend. She is over a fourth of the way to her kill total from 2025 (202).
• Also led by a first-year head coach, North Florida was picked fourth in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll.
• Duke leads the all-time series 1-0.
FIU
• FIU opened its season in Boca Raton, Florida, winning its first two games against Stetson and Merrimack. It closed out its weekend with a 3-0 loss to Florida Atlantic.
• FIU is under the direction of a new head coach, Flavia Siqueira, and was picked fifth in the CUSA Preseason Poll.
• Jillian Huckabey is leading the team with 31 kills so far. Last year, she was second on the team with 271 kills.
• Duke leads the all-time series 3-1.
