2016-17: Wrestled at 165 pounds … Started six duals … Went 3-10 overall on the year and 0-2 in ACC duals … Picked up two victories at the Wolfpack Open over Bryan Halsch of North Carolina and Elliott Raiford of Appalachian State … Defeated Halsch by fall for his first career pin as a Blue Devil.

Before Duke: A standout for Our Lady of Good Counsel School … A three-time Maryland Independent School State Tournament qualifier … Finished as the runner-up at 160 pounds in 2015 and 2016 and took third as a sophomore ate 152 … Helped lead Good Counsel to four consecutive WCAC titles … Won the individual WCAC title at 160 pounds his junior and senior seasons … The Falcons also captured the Maryland Independent School State Tournament crown in 2016 after finishing third in 2015 … Was a member of the National Honor Society.
