Earned four letters in swimming at Chaparral High School ... state champion in the 100 breast, 200 IM and 200 medley relay as a senior ... also received All-America accolades in those three events ... named the state 4A swimmer of the year in 2003 ... as a freshman, placed second in the state in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 200 IM while also a member of the top 400 medley relay team in the state ... placed third at Junior Nationals that year in the 200 breast ... captured third-place in the state in the 100 breast and 200 IM in both sophomore and junior years ... qualified for 2002 Senior Nationals in 200 breaststroke ... three-time Academic All-American ... member of National Honor Society.
