Hi Coach Boyle,
I wish the the fastest and best recovery for you and your family. And
I'll keep you in prayer. I understand how difficult this can be when
your team depends on you for support and direction. I was the manager
for Temple University's Women's basketball program from 98' to 01', so I
know how important you are to everyone. May you continue to love the
game and get back in action.
Sincerely,
Mike Carter

Jo,
So no more metal detectors for you!! Glad to hear that you are on the
road to recovery! Of course you would be. You survived the nefarious
trip to a European capital where you SWORE you were going to die! You
survived all those rainy days and very bad officiating in Letzebourg!
So I am sure this is a piece of cake!
Seriously, I wish you all the best in recovery. You are one of the
strongest people I know and I personally am confident that you will
fabulous in no time. Get better and until then I sent you strength,
energy and one piece of Cote d'Or chocolate to get there soon.
Lots of love, Liz

Hi again, Joanne:
I would not wish your situation on anyone,
but one doesn't have to look far to see
the silver lining. You are recovering,
the prognosis is good, and you have
reminded all of us how special Duke and
its family are. These messages
are heartwarming!! Now you just have to
be patient and do what the medical staff
tells you do do!
All good thoughts,
Barb

GEEZ JOANNE!!!! Like I don't feel bad enough about not
keeping in
touch lately and I find out by an E-MAIL that "Coach Boyle [is]
Improving" -- Improving in what, I ask myself ... basketball? (no,
wait, that would be me in need of improvement) -- and then I use
my brilliant research skills and find out all of this ... GIVE ME
A FRIEKEN HEART ATTACK WILL YOU!! I'm
so glad that you're okay. So, so glad. Here's an image to cheer you
up... I'm coaching Brian's third-grade team in basketball this year
(trying
once again to be like you), We had our first practice (one whole hour
mind you). I was SOOOOO SORE the next day!!! How pathetic is
that?!! :-) Please get better and promise not to do something this
crazy ever, ever. ever. ever again (or I'm going to make you guardian
of my four kids!!. Deal? Good. Love you, Allison.

Glad to hear the good news. Get well and I hope your team
can thrive with only 8 players. Tell Coach G to sign another player
hopefully the Augustine gal from Louisiana, so this doesn't happen
again. Hi to Leigh Morgan. I used to watch the team when you were the
point guard. Cris Moreland and Katie Meier were on the team then. I work
on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
