DURHAM, NC - The Duke women's soccer team defeated instate rival High Point, 6-0, on a cold Wednesday night at Koskinen Stadium on Senior Night. Senior midfielder Liz Wagner scored the game winning goal, while classmate Brigid Bowdell scored a goal and fellow seniors Sara Zielske and Rebecca Smith each had an assist.

It didn't take long for the Blue Devils to get on the board. Less than a minute into the game (00:56), Smith assisted Wagner for the game-winning goal from the left side, six yards out. Just a few minutes later (4:20) another senior, Sara Zielske, dribbled the ball down the right side and dished off to sophomore Casey McCluskey who shot the ball from 12 yards out into the right side of the net for Duke's second quick goal of the match and her ninth goal of the season.

In the 22nd minute, Duke had one of its 10 corner kicks. Off the corner kick from freshman Shelly Marshall, classmate Carolyn Riggs headed the ball in the net for her ninth goal of the season.

It was more of the same in the second period, as McCluskey passed the ball to Bowdell on a breakaway and then kicked it passsed High Point's goalkeeper on the right side of the net at the 67:04 mark.

At the 79:30 mark, Heidi Hollenbeck crossed the ball to defender Kelly Harris who tapped it in for her second career goal. Marshall scored the games last goal from a shot off the crossbar from 12 yards out at the 81:33 mark for her first goal of the season.

The Blue Devils (7-8-2, 1-3-2) have one regular season match remaining as they travel to meet ACC rival Wake Forest on Saturday, Nov. 2. The match, orginally scheduled for 7:00 p.m., has been changed to 8:00 p.m.
