Alana Beard and the Duke women's basketball team arrived in Shreveport, La. on Thursday and went to Greenwood Acres Baptist Church for a wonderful dinner and a little bowling. The Blue Devils will play Northwestern State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The dinner featured great Louisiana cooking- beans & rice, ham, porkchops, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, stuffing with gravy, greens, pasta with sausage, cornbread and for desert peach cobler. What a feast.

Special thanks to the Beard family for a wonderful evening.

Duke women's basketball had five players record double figures in a 93-77 loss to fifth-ranked LSU Thursday night inside Cameron Indoor Stadium as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge.
