Upcoming Event: Women's Basketball versus Countdown to Craziness on October 3, 2025 at 7 p.m.

Duke Coach Joanne P. McCallie
General:
"I just thought it was a great team effort. We did a lot of things well. I appreciated Chante (Black's) leadership on the floor. We have a lot of things to work on, but when you have a player (Abby Waner) out, you like the team coming together, I love 25 assists as I look at the stat sheet.
On Duke's Defense
"Holding a team to 15 points in a half is tremendous. They are a good shooting team and that's hard to do, so it was a total team effort in that regard and I'm very happy with that."
On Holding Denver And South Florida To A Combined 25 Minutes Without A Field Goal
"Coaches love to see a team working hard for long period of time. We'll try to grow from this one and take it from there."
On Duke Pounding The Ball Into The Post
"At times I was happy with it and at times I wasn't. We can get a way from things, there were times to get the ball inside more, but for the most part we did a good job."
On Keturah Jackson And Brittany Mitch
"K.J. played with a lot of confidence, she had seven rebounds, I like to see that kind of thing out of a guard. Brittany also played very well."
On Her First Home Game Coming Up Sunday
"I can't wait. Everybody has to come out and celebrate this great team. We have over 6,000 tickets already sold and we're excited to get the season underway at home. The Aggies (UNC Greensboro) is a great team so it will be a challenge and we're all very excited."
